Clay Pottery / Ceramics Classes

Handbuilding 101

Mondays 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (8 week course)

Instructor: Michaela Kuhn

Offered starting TBA.

 

Learn the basics about how to handle clay with slabs, coils, textures, and glazes.

Beginner Wheel Class

Mondays 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM (8 week course)

An introduction to the pottery wheel and throwing technique. Small class size accommodates beginning students and allows each person to work at their own pace under the teacher's guidance.

Advanced Wheel 

Tuesdays 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM (8 week course)

Offered starting March 14th, 2017

 

This class is designed for anyone with desire to advance their work in clay. Students will have the opportunity to work at the wheel if they have previous throwing experience! We will concentrate on advanced wheel techniques and perfecting your skills.

Adult Beginner Wheel

Art / Creativity Classes

Creating A Personal Mosaic Shrine

Instructor: Meryl Weber

Participants will use mosaic techniques to create a personal shrine during this four week course. Students will incorporate personal photographs and mementos with china pieces, tile and glass to create a very personal work of art. No mosaic experience necessary.

Adult Mosaic

...where it is not only OK to break things, it is expected!

 

This 8 week course is geared toward beginner and intermediate level students who want to learn about basic techniques, tools, and materials involved in creating mosaic art. The class will cover cutting, proper adhesives, design and grouting. Students will be introduced to a wide variety of materials and will complete 2 - 3 projects.
